1 Fine Cooke is busy. So, so busy.
In case you missed it (shame on you) 1 Fine Cookie and Pretzel Crisps have teamed up, so if you consider yourself part of the 1 Fine Cookie entourage you must:

In the meantime, I managed to squeeze in a bunch of desserts for a charity fundraiser last weekend. All of the proceeds were donated to the American Lung Association.
I have to say that I am totally down with American Lung Association.
I asked Emma, the organizer for the fundraiser, what theme she desired for the desserts.
She sent me the Lung Association image, and mentioned lungs. This would be a challenge.
It took some brainstorming, but I managed to make lung cake pops. I was nervous that they would end up looking funky, but they seemed to turn out okay (sans the friend who asked if they were kidneys).
The desserts were donated as raffle items. I was nervous that the raffle basket would be empty. Fortunately, they were a hit which is good because nobody wants to be the unpopular kid (or picked last in gym, or stood up on a date). Especially when they were sitting next to a killer wine basket.
I have to say that the lung cookies are my favorite.
The ribbon for lung cancer is white pearl. The lighting was very poor, so you can’t see the pearl shimmer on the ribbon cookies.
Let’s not forget the cake pops. Do they look like lungs? Don’t answer that… Unless you think they do then feel free to answer.
I have to say they were a big hit. I also have to say that I hate using black icing. Almost as much as I hate centipedes. And chick flicks. And people who tell me not to begin sentences with the word, “and.”
