Halloween Witch’s Brew Jello Shots Dessert Recipe
I make and photo food for the webs for monies. I therefore can never attend events without food. Her fabulousness suggested little with’s brew jello shots so I complied.
They are extra-large jello shots. You may adjust the amount of booze to whatever fire breathe level you desire. I personally aim for a Godzilla breathing radioactive energy breathe type of extreme. Forget the pepper spray; you can simply walk around with jello shot breathe and a lighter. If a mugger approaches, “hufffffff.”
My jello shots are so extreme, you don’t need to pant that stanky, spontaneously com busting breathe. You could literally just think and start a fire. Yeah, that’s right. Firestarter.
Little Drew Barrymore went crazy from too many jello shots.
Just so you know, I adjusted this recipe so the liquor is actually quite mild. If you want it stronger, just use more cold liquor. Whatever amount of cold liquor you add, take out cold water.
Here is What You Need for You Witch’s Brew Jello Shots
- 1/3 cup Jello in any green hue (I picked Melon ooooooooh)
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup cold water
- 1/4 cup (or more if you like to live dangerously) cold liquor, such as vodka
- Optional: Creepy gummies (I used body part gummies)
*You can leave liquor out if you want little jello cups for kids.
- Optional: Green and yellow food coloring
Yields: About 6, depending on cup size and number of gummies used.
To begin your with’s brew jello shots, you will want to prepare your tapioca pearls ahead of time.
Any size is fine. Add some to a pot and fill with 5-6 times more water. Boil on high, stirring occasionally, until they become translucent.
Drain and stir in a strainer to remove as much water as possible.
Lump up little bunches if they are dry, or just spoon big globs of the tapioca pearls into containers. Cover in Rumchata and refrigerate for at least one day to infuse. I would suggest adding some rum or more hard liquor to the Rumchata, as I noticed it was so mild it did not quite booze up the pearls as much as I would like.
About a day or two before serving, make your green brew jello shots.
Have your little shot glasses and creepy gummy candies on hand.
I am so obsessed with these body part gummies. Gives new meaning to pull my finger.
Add the boiling 1 cup water to the 1/3 cup of jello already in a bowl. Stir until dissolved, then add in 1 cup cold water and 1/4 cup liquor.
Remember, if you want any strength, you will need more than just the 1/4 cup liquor. This recipe is set as a starting point so the strength is minimal. If you decide to add in more liquor, then subtract that amount from the cold water. Make sense?
Toss a couple of gummies into cauldron shot cups then pour in jello. Place in fridge to set.
Once firm, spoon tapioca pearls to top and serve with a cute little appetizer spoon.
These are big, so the spoons are sort of necessary.
The breakfast of champions?
There it is again. The finger. Don’t forget, use more liquor than advised to acquire that breath of fire. Just brush your teeth before talking to anyone.
An ear! It’s an ear! So perfectly Halloween. For adults (or remove the liquor for kids).
Oh, here is my work from the pumpkin painting party.
I clearly think I have bigger hair than I do.
